On February 15, Secretary Pompeo traveled to Brussels, Belgium -- the fourth stop in a five-day trip to Europe that included visits to Budapest, Bratislava, and Warsaw and will conclude with a visit to Reykjavik.
In Brussels, Secretary Pompeo met with European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini to discuss U.S.-EU cooperation on a range of key issues including efforts to restore democracy to Venezuela and support Venezuelan Interim President Juan Guaido and the National Assembly, as well as the importance of strengthening European security and addressing the threats posed by Iran and Russia.
