Secretary Pompeo Travels to Hungary

Secretary Pompeo traveled to Budapest, Hungary, on February 11 -- the first stop in a five-day trip to Europe that will also include visits to Bratislava, Warsaw, Brussels, and Reykjavik.

In Budapest, the Secretary met with Prime Minister Orban, Foreign Minister Szijjarto, and Defense Minister Benko to discuss a range of issues in the U.S.-Hungary bilateral relationship.

While in Hungary, the Secretary met with a group of civil society leaders.

Secretary Pompeo recognized the 30th anniversary of the end of communism, which will be a theme in all three of his trip's Central Europe stops.

Secretary Pompeo also took a moment to visit and thank staff at the U.S. Embassy for their work.
