Did you ever have a good idea but felt it was too large to undertake yourself? Not sure how to bring it to life? Or have you had a successful pilot program that you knew had the potential to expand and even more meaningfully advance foreign policy imperatives?
Welcome to the Boldline Accelerator for Public-Private Partnerships, a one-week program in February 2018 dedicated to giving public-private partnership stakeholders the training, mentorship, networks, and resources needed to bring partnership ideas to action or scale up existing partnerships. With Boldline, we’re focusing exclusively on helping the Department of State, other USG agencies, nonprofits, and private sector entities create and scale public-private partnerships with each other.
In the Department of State’s Office of Global Partnerships, we’ve run our own partnerships, hackathons, challenges, and partnership building trainings, and now Boldline is the natural next evolution for our office. We’re systemizing the partnership building process through Boldline, and encouraging others to join us. Over the last years, we’ve seen the power of accelerator programs firsthand in giving entrepreneurs the tools they need to further scale their endeavors. Through past involvement with programs such as LAUNCH and Unreasonable Goals, we’ve witnessed ideation flourish into creation.
Whether your partnership idea is focused on ensuring national security, streamlining inefficiencies, or accelerating economic growth, for instance, you’ve probably witnessed that working alongside partners who are as committed to your cause helps you reach your objective faster and with greater outcome.
With Boldline, we want to bring best partnership building practices to you; connect you to the right players who can help you bring your partnership to scale; and most importantly, we want to take informal, “dotted line” connections between sectors and connect them with a “bold line” whereby relationships between private sector entities, governments, nonprofits, and academic institutions are formalized through collaboration that strengthens our nation and advances our diplomatic goals. Alone, we might not get there, but together, we will.
Through Boldline, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from and connect with other stakeholders in your field, receive training in both fundamental and more detailed aspects of structuring, maintaining, and growing public-private partnerships, and pitch your partnership at the 2018 Global Partnerships Week Forum on March 5, 2018, at the U.S. Institute of Peace.
Whether you’re a colleague at the Department of State or at an outside organization or business, we invite you to apply to Boldline. Join us in February as we help you navigate the challenges your partnership idea or existing partnership is facing. Together, we can develop a solution. Together and across sectors, we can ensure we’re collectively reaching our goals more efficiently, effectively, and with greater proven outcome for our nation and around the globe.
To apply, submit your partnership by November 29 via: https://www.challenge.gov/challenge/boldline-p3-cohort-1/
