Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is accompanying President Barack Obama to London on May 24 for the first part of his state visit to the United Kingdom. This trip is a sign of the strength of the special relationship between our two countries, and of the United States' enduring commitment to our allies and partners in Europe. Secretary Clinton will also meet with Foreign Secretary Hague while in London.

Secretary Clinton will then travel to Paris, France, to preside over the 50th Anniversary of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Ministerial Council Meeting, May 25-26. Events will include the OECD's 50th Anniversary Commemoration, where the Secretary will deliver the opening address in the presence of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, and Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan; several signing and adoption ceremonies; and a plenary session on “A New Paradigm for Development.” The Commemoration will be live-streamed at

Secretary Clinton will also deliver keynote remarks in support of the launch of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization's (UNESCO) Global Partnership for Girls' and Women's Education. The Global Partnership will bring together companies, non-governmental organizations, and governments to develop innovative programs to deliver education to women and girls. Secretary Clinton has boundless energy!! She will likely notice the headlines while in London regarding gagging orders, referred to as superinjunctions, that are increasingly being ordered by English judges under Article 8 of The European Convention of Human Rights.

This is the so-called privacy article, that is being used by the rich and powerful in Britain to essentially gag the press from writing about their personal lives. These orders have recently attracted enormous criticism in Britain and Parliament as being anti free speech. Today, an MP outing a football player as one who had taken out a superinjunction.

I mention all of this because I believe I am the only American to be subject to similar orders. I was served a bogus English injunction in Massachusetts, granted on false evidence supplied by the partner to one of the richest men. I was then duly defamed and libeled across the British press, then unbelievably subject to a succession of secret court hearings and sealed court files. A gross violation of my human rights.

I have unfortunately struggled to get justice over this and submitted evidence to a Parliamentary Committee investigating press standards:

PS I want go to United States but have no money. Multiple times and tried different ways, to think you were rejected. I still, for the U.S. ambassador to South Korea's reluctance to feel a little bit.
