Iranian President Rouhani has once again called for the destruction of Israel. Rouhani also encouraged Muslims worldwide to unite against the United States. This is a dangerous and irresponsible step that will further deepen Iran’s isolation. The Iranian people know better and do not agree with their government, which has badly represented them to the world for 39 years. The people have suffered under this tyranny for far too long.
Secretary Pompeo: Reports that Russian vessels rammed and fired on the Ukrainian ships, injuring Ukrainian crewmen, before seizing three vessels, represent a dangerous escalation and a violation of international law.
The United States condemns this aggressive Russian action. We call on Russia to return to Ukraine its vessels and detained crew members, and to respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, extending to its territorial waters.

Special Rep Brian Hook: When companies do business with #Iran’s regime, they’re likely financing terrorism—possibly on their own soil. Our sanctions aim to deprive the regime from its ability to export terrorism. We are on alert for sanction evasion and won’t hesitate to stop it.

Iran cannot be trusted to have vital constraints on its nuclear program lifted. The United States is committed to ensuring that Iran never comes close to possessing a nuclear weapon.
Starting November 5, 2018, all nuclear cooperation with Iran, except for the limited activities for which waivers are being granted, will be sanctionable. This includes:
Re-designating the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran and 23 of its subsidiaries.
Placing new limits on Iran’s nuclear program significantly beyond current restrictions. Iran will not be able to pursue any new nuclear facilities with foreign assistance, including power reactors or hot cell facilities currently allowed under the JCPOA.
Involvement in the expansion of Iran’s nuclear capabilities beyond current limits will also be subject to sanctions.
Final requirement before sanctions snap back on #Iran’s regime tomorrow: The regime must end its threatening behavior against its neighbors, including threats to destroy Israel, firing missiles into Saudi Arabia and UAE, threats to international shipping, and cyberattacks.
With the #Iran sanctions deadline just 2 days away, here’s a reminder about the 2nd requirement for the Islamic Republic of Iran to behave like a normal state: The Iranian regime must end the IRGC-Qods Force’s support for terrorists and militant partners.
There are only three days left before the #Iran sanctions deadline, so here’s the third requirement for the Iranian regime to behave like a normal state: it must end support for the Taliban and other terrorists in Afghanistan and the region, and cease harboring senior al-Qaida leaders.
