Gaza City As Seen on August 1, 2014

Secretary of State John Kerry released a statement on the situation in the Gaza Strip condemning in the strongest possible terms today's attack, which led to the killing of two Israeli soldiers and the apparent abduction of another.  Secretary Kerry said, "It was an outrageous violation of the cease-fire negotiated over the past several days, and of the assurances given to the United States and the United Nations."

In his statement, Secretary Kerry also said, "After the horrific loss of life in this attack and its aftermath, it would be a tragedy if this outrageous attack leads to more suffering and loss of life on both sides of this conflict. I have been in close touch with Prime Minister Netanyahu, with UN Special Coordinator Robert Serry and with other regional partners. The international community must now redouble its efforts to end the tunnel and rocket attacks by Hamas terrorists on Israel and the suffering and loss of civilian life."

I have come across many blogs that are trying some best possible ways to overcome the loss faced by Gaza and its people. The situation is getting more worse. More suffering and more loss will lead to failure of man life. Hope and pray for peace!

What is humanity?What is justice?What is objectivity? What is the value of the life of a human being? Are all human beings equal? What is war crime,crime against humanity & genocide? What is the meaning of crossing the red line? What is the difference between terrorism and state terrorism? Why is the destruction of idols more outrageous than that of schools,hospitals,electric power plants,water supply,university,mosques ,ambulances & press offices? Are the Russians by adding fuel to the fire in arming the rebels in eastern Ukraine have rendered themselves liable to sanctions by the very democratic proclaimed nations which instead of applying sanctions to the oppressor are providing the latter military equipment to the oppressors to commit war crime! What is the meaning and right of colonizers/colonized &,oppressor/oppressed? What is the meaning of double standard? Please explain to me! I am appalled by what is happening in the Gaza conflict.

Today I saw on C-span a video clip from yesterday's State dept briefing entitled;
" Jen Psaki can't handle the truth", posted by an anonomous c-span user.

The transcript of which follows;

Jen Psaki
Spokesperson
Daily Press Briefing

Washington, DC

August 4, 2014

QUESTION: Now when you mentioned high standard, the terrorists are shooting from hotels, they are shooting from schools, they are shooting from houses, which is a high standard to fight against terrorism. What kind of – how can you explain that?

MS. PSAKI: The terrorists are shooting from – I’m sorry.

QUESTION: Yes, from hotels. Today I saw pictures today from the IDF showing that they are shooting from hotels, they are shooting from restaurants, they are shooting from many crazy places that are civilian places. Do you have an idea of what is a high standard to combat terrorism?

MS. PSAKI: I think I’m going to leave it at the statement we issued yesterday.

- end of video clip--

I would strongly disagree with the premis that Ms. Psaki can't handle the truth, and suggest that it may be more in the way the question was asked that she declined to entertain it.

However I've got a real simple, strait foward answer for that reporter in regards to "high standards" of protecting civilian lives in conflict. Goes like this here;

"Hamas is not a designated terrorist org. because it has high standards. Next question?"
