Young people around the world are changing their own narrative. This generation of young people is the largest the world has known. And they are remarkable -- optimistic, innovative, creative, and impatient. Youth are more adept in new technology and in using this technology to create networks for change. They are vital constituencies for social transformation. We can’t solve the massive challenges we face globally -- climate change, access to education, and sustainable economic growth -- without the full participation of young people.
This is why partnership is so important to us, why the Department of State wants to partner with you to address our biggest challenges, and why my office, the Office of Global Youth Issues, was created. We want to hear your suggestions and work with you.
