Xin Chao Vietnam from Secretary Kerry

We are looking forward to Secretary of State John Kerry’s upcoming visit to Vietnam.  I expect that Secretary Kerry will find it is still the welcoming place he has visited frequently. He has always been a strong advocate for improved relations between our countries and was instrumental in the reestablishment of United States-Vietnam relations. 

During this visit, he will find Vietnam the same beautiful country it has always been – but he will also be able to emphasize how we are working together to face challenges of the 21st century.  

In advance of his trip, Secretary Kerry wanted to share a special message to the people of Vietnam, one that underscores the continued partnership between the US and Vietnam.

We look forward to continue working together.
