This program empowers future leaders from all over the world with the technological training and tools to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
Building on a series of TechCamps hosted by the State Department to increase the digital literacy of civil society groups, the Youth TechCamp will involve 21 young adults, aged 18-23 from Egypt, Indonesia, India, Ghana, Kenya, Malaysia, Mozambique, Philippines, Russia, Thailand, and Turkey. All of these amazing young people are alumni of our Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study Program (YES Program). The Mozilla Foundation's Hackasaurus team will provide hands-on training in open-source web design and development at the offices of InterMedia, a global research and evaluation group.
Their future career goals of the participants are diverse but each of them will definitely need to be fluent in the language of technology, regardless of their academic or professional paths.
