On Friday, September 9, Secretary Clinton and other dignitaries attended the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange to remember the victims of 9/11, their families and loved ones, and those who selflessly aided the rescue and recovery effort.
The ceremony began with a one-minute moment of silence, followed by former U.S. Marine Corps Major Rose-Ann L. Lynch singing "God Bless America." The guests at the Opening Bell, who were also in attendence at the September 17, 2001, Opening Bell (the first day of trading after 9/11) included:
