Classroom in Nimroz Province, Afghanistan

Last week, U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan Karl Eikenberry and the Afghan Minister of Border and Tribal Affairs Assadullah Khaled visited Delaram, in Nimroz Province. In Delaram, the Ambassador and Minister Khaled spoke with coalition military and civilians, Afghan National Security Forces, village elders, and shopkeepers about life in the province. U.S. Embassy Kabul staff captured many moments of the visit to Nimroz in photographs. Our "photo of the week" shows students turning to look at Ambassador Eikenberry as he entered their classroom in Nimroz. With this visit to Nimroz, Ambassador Eikenberry has now been to all 34 provinces of Afghanistan.
