Today's "Photo of the Week" comes to us from U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Rylan K. Albright. It depicts preparations by a U.S. Army sergeant in Farah, Afghanistan, part of the Female Engagement Team (FET), as she gets ready to facilitate an all-women's shura. The district sub-governor invited the FET to help with the shura, where women in the community were able to voice their concerns to their government.

Secretary Clinton traveled to Afghanistan recently, to attend the Kabul Conference. Among her meetings on bilateral and regional issues, she also met with Afghan women and announced a joint initiative with Denmark, aimed at improving women's access to justice in Afghanistan's Helmand Province.
