U.S., Serbia Sign Science and Technology Agreement

On April 23, Under Secretary for Democracy and Global Affairs Mario Otero delivered opening remarks at the signing ceremony for the first Science and Technology Agreement between the Governments of the United States and the Republic of Serbia. Under Secretary Otero signed the agreement on behalf of the United States, while Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Technological Development Mr. Bozidar Djelic signed on behalf of Serbia.

Under Secretary Otero said, "This agreement will open new doors, bringing scientists together and expanding the flow of knowledge between our two countries. This new agreement provides a framework under which our ministries, our institutes, our universities, and research centers can collaborate. Together, we will work towards new discoveries across the range -- a full range of scientific inquiry."
