The Energy and Climate Partnership of the Americas (ECPA) had its first ministerial-level meeting in Washington, DC on April 15 and 16. Secretary Clinton participated, remarking that "the fundamental purpose of this partnership is to promote sustainable growth that benefits all of our citizens." The State Department teamed up with Scienceblogs.com, the largest online community dedicated to science, to promote the ministerial both via blog and livestream. Please check out this guest post on the ECPA ministerial by Katherine Musgrove, an economic officer in the Office of Economic Policy and Summit Coordination in the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs. We welcome your comments and perspectives on efforts to work in the Americas on energy and climate issues.
