Travel Diary: Secretary Clinton Meets With President Kabila

Secretary Clinton said:"I offered, and the president accepted my sending a team of legal and financial and other technical experts to the DRC to provide specific suggestions about how to overcome these very serious obstacles to the potential of this country."

While in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Secretary Clinton also met with Congolese Foreign Minister Alexis Thambwe, participated in a roundtable discussion with NGOs and activists on sexual and gender-based violence isssues and visited the Biamba Marie Mutombo Hospital and Research Center.
