The Democratic leadership robbed us of you as our president so we'll have to settle for you as our Secretary of State. Obviously, you'll do us proud, but even better, you'll be a force for good--especially in fighting misogynistic bigotry. As an American who grew up abroad, I know what a welcome sight you'll be.

Good luck, Madame Secretary.

Congratulations, Madam Secretary!

I'm so grateful that you'll be guiding the work to bring sanity back to U.S. interactions with our sisters and brothers of every nation. Your words during your confirmation hearing gave me such hope:

"Our foreign policy must reflect our deep commitment to help millions of oppressed people around the world. And of particular concern to me is the plight of women and girls, who comprise the majority of the world's unhealthy, unschooled, unfed, and unpaid. If half the world's population remains vulnerable to economic, political, legal and social marginalization, our hope of advancing democracy and prosperity is in serious jeopardy. The United States must be an unequivocal and unwavering voice in support of women's rights in every country on every continent."

Our daughters need a strong, clear voice to speak out for them everywhere in the world. Thank you so much for being that voice.

Congratulations Madam Secretary. You won the popular vote; you won our hearts and minds, and now it is time for you to win the hearts and minds of the rest of the world. America's image will undoubtedly shine again with you at the helm of the State Department and acting as our top diplomat.

From one of your Washington State delegates, (2/300), we would have preferred you in the White House, but until that can happen, we will all feel safer and more hopeful with you in charge of the State Dept.

Congratulations and best wishes.

We know you will succeed where others have failed in making our country and the world a better place!

@ SNP in Syria -- I personally would never embelish in anyones fear. It serves no purpose. I have been to Iraq and know what Fear really looks like and have spent years in the Middle East. I understand more than you realize about your culture, your beliefs and customs. We Americans have been trying to be the buffer zone between Jews and Arabs and it's almost like trying to calm two bulls in cage.

The problem is that when Terrorist have conducted many dirty acts of violence in the world and expect the United States to sit back and do nothing. Everyone can jump all over President George W. Bush but he did something. He took a stand. He was committed until his departure. We all might not agree about how he did it but he still held his ground.

The new Administration coming into office will hold its ground. We will continue standing and defending our freedom in the United States of America.

I say to the country of Syria that we want Peace and open those doors of communications between our Nations with respect. Keep in mind that when Arabs in the Middle East destroy our flag we remember. The part that everyone forgets is everyone needs a healing process.

God created everyone...let's find ways to bring peace between our Nations and end the violence. End the negative wording which only stirs the pot.
