Subscribing, Saving, Sharing and Recommending DipNote Blog Entries
The Dipnote Blog encourages you to subscribe to our RSS feed. More information
on RSS, XML and how subscription services work, can be found here and here.
In addition to RSS subscription services, the DipNote blog links to several
services that allow you to save, share and recommend blog entries.
These services are free, but some form of user registration is required to
use each of them.
Here's an overview of each of the service with some information on how they
are used and links you can follow to register and find out more about the sites:
del.icio.us
Del.icio.us allows you to save your bookmarks online, making this information
available to you from any Internet connected computer.
Your del.icio.us bookmarks can be organized by creating custom categories
and assigning keyword tags to individual bookmarks. You could for example have
multiple bookmarks saved to your "Diplomacy" category and use tags like "Iraq,"
"China" and "Afghanistan" to help differentiate them.
As a member of the del.icio.us community, you can see how many other people
have bookmarked the same pages. You can then subscribe to those users' bookmarks
via RSS to find new and interesting online content.

Digg
On Digg you can share online content you find of interest, by submitting links to
the site. Then, the Digg audience votes on whether or not they think your submission
is interesting. Links to articles with lots of votes, or "diggs," rise up higher on
the site's main page and topical subsection pages. Usually, DipNote blog entries
are posted to News->World News. An RSS Feed is available for the
News->World & Business->News subsection.
The Digg site also lets users categorize their content submissions and label them
with descriptions. Digg users can also submit comments on each submission submitted
to the site.

Reddit
Reddit allows you to submit news articles and other online content to the site. You
can also vote on articles, giving them a thumbs-up or thumbs-down. Reddit then uses
your votes to build your profile and to find and recommend articles to you. You can
also submit comments on items posted to the site. An RSS feed is available for
Reddit.

Google
If you have a personalized Google homepage, gmail account or other use some of
Google's other services, you can also save bookmarks and label them with keywords.

Yahoo
You can use "MyYahoo" to save bookmarks to your personal page, tag them with keywords
and share them with other Yahoo users.

Facebook
Facebook is made up of many networks - individual schools, companies or
regions. To join Facebook, you authenticate into a school or work
network, or you can join a regional network. You can then create profiles to
connect with friends, share interests, join groups, send messages, writes
notes and post photos.
If you are a registered user of Facebook, you can also "share" news stories on
your profile page.
