Dear visitors I was so glad to meet Mrs. Clinton in Istanbul and I sent a message here. But what a pitty I feel sorry about some negative messages that I saw in here. If there is hate it came out after the Iraq war. The main reason was that, normally Turks admire U.S.A. and American people. I was teaching a class in istanbul -- the subject of north america and pollution was the topic and suddenly one of my adult students raised his fist, glared at the world map and shouted KILL AMERICA!!! @ Brandi in Washington -- As one of those women unknowingly used by a Turk for a visa to Canada and then abused when the visa was refused, I totally agree with you. Don't let them into North America. Many of the people are indeed wonderful and incredibly hospitable but you have to watch your back constantly for the ones looking to gain something. There is a great suspicion of the West and a fierce hatred of Americans ( mainly against Bush )which they expressed openly to me since i am canadian. They don't integrate ( look at germany's situation ) and the violence against women doesn't end at our borders. As someone who lived there for several years and knows the judicial system well, the human rights situation is appalling. Even the Canadian consulate website was blocked by their internet control facists. There are enough Turks living in America. And considering Turks hate us more than any other country in the world well let them sit there in their country in misery. We dont need any more Turks coming here and using our woman for money and green cards and than disappear after beating our American girls. Lebanon, Syria and Afghanistan like us more than Turks and these countries have legitimate excuses to hate us.

It is safe to say Secretary of State Clinton is loving her job. In retrospect i think having her as Secretary of State is better than VP. I initially wanted her as President but Obama beat her out. Still as a democrat i am glad having Obama as president and Hillary our U.S. Secretary of State. As an immigrant comming from Europe, I could not be happier and prouder of our new Secretary of State. Even though Hillary deserved to become president, she is the BEST person for the position she is in now. I am absolutely certain that she (and her team) will restore the world status the U.S.A. had in the past: that of an INTELLIGENT leader. With President Obama cleaning up the super-mess within the U.S.A. and Hillary working on restoring the relationships to other countries, I can only see a bright future for the U.S.A.
