I wish you would send a team of legal specialists (if you haven't done so already) to help the Vietnamese get into Hague-compliance with regards to foreign (international) adoption of Vietnamese children.

Also, I have been to Viet Nam recently and I was told that if the Secretary of State would provide them with a 'diplomatic note' that they would go ahead and procede with my adoption of two relative Vietnamese children...my niece and nephew.

Please do this for us. We need to get these children out of Viet Nam before they become ineligible to do so because of the boys age. They have already told us that they would let the girl follow the boy, despite her age. She is 18 and the boy is 14. We need you to intervene on our behalf for us so we can get on with our lives. Our case has already been approved at the CIS level in Yakima, Wa. The embassy in Viet Nam says it will not approve our case until there is an agreement on adoptions between the U.S. and Viet Nam. The Vietnamese have told us that they will go ahead and process our case, with or without a treaty with the U.S. on adoptions as long as they receive a diplomatic note from you saying it is okay to do so.

Good Governance should include doing good things for children.
