I am hispanic Catholic from Chicago and I am really touched and so happy to hear such recognition from President Obama for the Muslim holiday. As it always should have been just as I celebrate Christmas and Easter. It gives me great happiness and pride to hear this kind of address.

These are very nice sentiments. So why is the State Department breaking American law and diminishing the stature of the United States by meeting with the tyrants and murderers of the Honduras regime as if they were a legitimate government?

When Mr. Obama talks about "confidence in the rule of law" but his State Department treats Public Law 111-8 with utter contempt, when he claims to support peace and security while State makes its bed with thugs who have according to the Interamerican Center for Human Rights illegally detained thousands, wounded perhaps hundreds, and killed or disappeared at least eight, it's very hard to take anything else that the U.S. government says seriously.

I urge you, Colonel Crowley, to make the deeds of the U.S. State Department in Honduras match this touching embrace of the Muslim world. The world may never have parody; but, we are in a new age. One in which water will be in short supply, food supplies may become limited with just one major provisional countries bad season and environmental changes which could alter life as structured in many parts of the world; pandemics may both physically and economically effect any countries security as well.

The honest and open dialogue of the productive use of Religion for the benefit of all mankind, rather than use as a separation will be paramount in how we, as a human race, survive in the future. It is wonderful to know there is a world leader who realizes this and has a staff working toward this end.
