@ Aaron, After you posted your original entry, I had a dangerously hairbrained idea (chuckle).

Simply to get the art school my daughters attend to partner with State (co sponsor if you will) and hold a national art contest in Iraq, the winner to receive a full four year scholarship to the Kansas City Art Institute, all expenses paid.

Apparently it generated some interest on their end, so I'm posting their response here (partly edited with privacy in mind) so you can follow up from your end, if your superiors are willing and able to see the idea through to reality.

Dear Mr. J----,

Thank you for the information you provided. I will ask our Director of Admissions to look at the links you provided to us. I am happy to hear that you feel positive about the investment you and your daughters have made at KCAI.
---

P.S. Aaron, best investment this dad ever made was in a box of 64 crayola crayons and an industrial roll of art paper long ago, and who would have believed then where my kids ultimately took it?

They worked hard and earned their scholarships in national competition.

Let me know if this is doable, maybe it's not, but it can't hurt to try.

Keep up the good work,

Hoping you'll post some more pictures of their art so those of us who can't make it to see the exhibition, can still enjoy!
