The politics of Haitian inexperienced leaders have been complex that they had consistently failed to resolve. Is there is to be prosperity and progress they must govern effectively without corruption nor rigged elections. Their leaders should be honest and capable to deliver their promises.

Secretary Clinton is there credibility that Haitian government will be honest?

Please note that what is happening in Mexico -- corruption, drug and crime is also happening in Dominican Republic -- at a lower scale. This must be stopped before the fear, derived from the extortion and gun fire crimes, blocks justice and interrupts the development of a democratic government.

I know that you love my country and I hope that you understand that behind the blue sky and balmy wind and its warmest hospitality the drug lords and gangs, if not stopped, are going to stop our progress.
Good luck in all your assignments; I value you and know that "yes you can" -- as our president says.

I will like to Invite Secretary Clinton to come to Panama to share with me a technological innovation for education in low income persons for Panama.

By the time this arrives the live broadcast should be over but this invitation stands, the team should already know who I am.

The broadcast was choppy and was cut off here in Panama

Best of progress at the summit!

This is a great idea, as long as you listen to people, which I don't yet see happening. In Chicago, we have town hall meetings with the Cook County Board who listen to the people and then, against their overwhelming desires, does whatever it wants. I attended one, it was a farce, and I told them so. They didn't disagree that they were giving the "little people" the impression they had input.

A facade of democracy.

In the president's townhall meeting, over 7,000 people wanted to know why marijuana couldn't be legalized. Though that was the number one question, voted on by the most people, who were all in favor of it, it was the one question that got a flippant answer instead of a thoughtful response.

I support Obama, but I remember the 911 commission finding that the government engaged in group think. The government is still engaged in group think as evidenced by the War on Drugs response to the Mexican drug cartels.

As for Hugo Chavez, he doesn't have to support our policies, he's not a colony of the United States. He has done what's best for HIS people, as he should.

Unlike Nigeria, who, since they have become a "democracy", has also become the 4th largest oil exporter in the world, yet the PEOPLE's lives have not only not benefited from this wealth, it has deteriorated. Their life expectancy dropped (45 years old), their access to clean water has dropped, the death rate of children under 5 has increased, yet we commend them for their progress.

It's time the United States stopped subverting the idea of democracy, which at this point means, electing a government that will let our companies exploit their resources to the detriment of the people of the country.

Chavez stopped that, he should be commended not condemned.

This is the question I submitted: Could the Summit design a Students Without Borders project -- intra-Americas teams of college students who together search each others countries for Best Practices? (Best Education Practices; Best Energy Practices; Best Volunteer Practices, etc.)
