I am a social media specialist at the BNC in Santiago, Chile and from what I hear from my colleagues that attended this conference, it was a very interesting and valuable for all involved. There is so much that can be accomplished through the very personal relationships that the BNCs have with residents of the local communities they serve and technology only continues to expand these possibilities. Ahhh! I spent ten years at the BNC in Port-au-Prince and LOVED it! You'll never get rich in dollars teaching at a BNC, but the other rewards are wonderful. Anyone considering a career teaching EFL should take some time to try this.
